Girls' Trip
Tracy, Anna, Megan, Lisa, and Lizzy enjoyed a girls' trip this past weekend in Asheville. They explored the Biltmore, River Arts District, and Grove Park Inn. There were cute goats and chicks at the Biltmore and all-you-can eat breakfast buffets at the Grove Park Inn. For Cinco de Mayo, they enjoyed a variety of tacos at the White Duck Taco Shop. It was a great time!
New Puppy!
Nancy and Dennis are getting a new puppy named Poppi! We are all so excited to meet her. She will come to her new home on Saturday, May 12th.

2018 Charleston Bridge Run
Lisa and Shawn recently drove down to Charleston, so Lisa could run the Cooper River Bridge Run with Anna. They ran a 10K (6.2 miles) that started in Mount Pleasant, ran over the Cooper River Bridge, and finished in downtown Charleston. There were around 40,000 runners and walkers participating this year besides Lisa and Anna. Tracy, Megan, and Elizabeth made some awesome signs for Anna and Lisa that Shawn brought to cheer them on! Congrats, Lisa and Anna, for getting over it!

Chinney's Pretzel Fudge
Ingredients:
2 cups mashed pretzels (sticks or penny rods)*
1 cup peanuts
2 TBSP peanut butter
12 oz white chocolate morsels
10 oz peanut butter morsels
Directions:
2 cups mashed pretzels (sticks or penny rods)*
1 cup peanuts
2 TBSP peanut butter
12 oz white chocolate morsels
10 oz peanut butter morsels
Directions:
- Put mashed pretzels in an oven on warm. Melt the peanut butter morsels and white chocolate morsels together. (I do this on 50% power in the microwave for about 5 minutes, stirring at least once.)
- When melted, mix in peanut butter, peanuts, and the mashed pretzels.
- Spread onto a WELL-greased 8-x-8 pan (I always line the pan with parchment paper sprayed with Pam.)
- Allow fudge to harden, about 2 hours. Cut in chunks. They are not meant to look perfect. DIG IN!!!
* - Use gluten-free pretzels to make recipe completely gluten-free.
